Happy Valentine’s Day

We should have been having a romantic Valentine’s dinner in Dunedin tonight………instead, we enjoyed a walk along the blustery beach, hand in hand at Waikouaiti – even more romantic.

Nobody told us that every bed in Dunedin was booked out because of the World Cup Cricket – New Zealand’s Black Caps are playing Scotland early next week. Oh well, the best laid plans are always subject to change.

Happy Valentine’s Day to you all – How did you spend it?

Where did you go instead of Dunedin for a bed? Beautiful part of the wild east coast. So windy and cold when we were there same time a few years ago. We were in Stanley Tas. Did the seaplane and asked the pilot if they were doing a “Valentines Day” Special? He just laughed! Lol

Hi Gail – we found a cabin at Waikouaiti Motor Camp with the help of the Dunedin Information Centre – it was a nice night

We spent it eating boullabaise, drinking wine and watching the Aussies flog England.. Cool evening, beautiful seafood and relaxing at home together-perfect!

Sleeping on the beach would have been romantic and cold – we found a cabin at the local motor camp and slept there 🙂
